Dhan verifies your bank account by penny drop check. Penny drop is a way to verify the authenticity of a user’s Bank Account and is achieved by depositing a small amount, usually INR 1 which returns the validated bank details along with the account holder name.
In the event your bank does not support Penny Drop, or if verification via Penny Drop fails - in that case we will ask you to upload a Cancelled Cheque or Passbook or Screenshot of your Bank Account via Mobile App or Web. You will need to ensure that information like - Name of Bank Account holder, IFSC code and branch details are mentioned in the document submitted.
