Your account or fund balance can be negative in the following cases:
- Daily trading positions have been marked to market losses.
- Other charges may be due - this may include DP charges, interest charges or any other government charges, details of which can be found in your ledger and contract notes.
- In case of Stock F&O physical settlement which happens in the last week of the month, you need to maintain an additional margin as per exchange norms. Read more about this on our Risk policy here under the "Physical Settlement" section.
In this situation, you must immediately add money to your Dhan account to avoid penalties, system position square-off, or trading account block.
