No. Security ID is a standard which remains same across platforms and exchange. Our entire system works on Security ID to place orders on exchanges. To offer low latency, we have mapped our Order APIs to the same backend and hence Security ID (securityId) is mandatory for placing orders.
Symbol Name (symbolName) is an optional field that you may or may not use while placing orders.
Is it possible to execute orders with 'Trading Symbol' without mentioning 'Security ID'? Print
