Mutual Funds orders can also be placed on an Exchange Holiday or Weekend or on a Bank Holiday. The processing of these orders is deferred to the next business day when the relevant financial institutions (Bank, AMC, RTA & Exchanges) are operational.
If you initiate a payment for Mutual Fund investments on a day when the stock exchange is closed (weekend or public holiday), the transaction request will be queued, and the actual processing will occur on the next business day when the stock exchange reopens. Similarly, if you try to make a payment on a bank holiday, the funds transfer process will be delayed until the next working day when the banks are operational.
Once the payment is processed, the Mutual Fund units will be allotted based on the NAV calculated on the next business day. You will receive a confirmation of your investment, and the units will be credited to your Mutual Fund account.
