Hi there!
If your account is created on Dhan and you did not apply for F&O during onboarding, please follow the steps below to activate the same:
1. Once you log in to the web platform, go to the top-right corner and select "My Profile on Dhan" from the drop-down menu.
2. Click on "Apply for Investment Products" on the next page.
3. You will be redirected to a new tab on your browser. Please ensure that pop-ups are enabled on your browser so that you can view the new tab. It will first ask you to accept the SEBI-mandated disclosures as shown below.
4. Click on "Proceed Ahead" button. You will be redirected to a screen where you can select the type of income proof that you want to upload. Please note that uploading bank statement (via the automatic route) is the fastest way to upload your income proof. (Please refer Step 7)
5. However, you can also click on "Show other eligible documents" to display the other types of income proof that we also accept at Dhan. Once you select an income proof type, the requirements for that particular type will be displayed to you, as shown below:
6. Once you click on "Proceed to Next", a dialog box will open which will accept the income proof that you want to upload from your desktop or laptop. Once submitted, your income proof will be verified by our team within a few hours.
7. If you wish to proceed with a bank statement, you will see the screen below.
8. If you select "Upload Manually", you will be shown the list of registered banks in your Dhan account. Please ensure that you upload the bank statement of the same bank as you select on this screen, else it might get rejected during verification.
9. At this step, if you change your mind, you can click on "Automatically Upload Bank Statement" for a faster verification. Once you click, you will be redirected to our partner Account Aggregator facility for a seamless verification.
10. Enter the OTP that you will receive from OneMoney, which is a RBI regulated Account Aggregator. In some cases, you may receive another OTP from the bank that you are trying to share the details with us.
11. In the next step, click on "Approve data sharing".
12. Once approved, you will be redirected to Dhan within 15 seconds. Please do not click on "Redirect Now" to ensure you provide sufficient time for us to retrieve the details from your bank. Once you are redirected, you can immediately start trading in F&O.
